Book Sans Détour by Stéphanie Demasse-Potier - L'Etagère du Bas

Every day, a child and her mother walk past a woman sitting on the ground with her baby. What are they doing there? Questions tumble through the child's mind, as she doesn't know how to react to this hardship. Seeing her daughter's sadness, the mother finds the words to comfort her, giving her the push she needs to go and meet them: 'We can't carry everything. A smile, a look, a gesture, however small, is already something.'
