Book Ma couleur - Balivernes éditions

Fathi and the color of his heart

Fathi is torn: his father says he’s black, his mother says he’s white. Some talk about chocolate, others about café au lait… and at school, some kids tease him, saying he’s the color of poop.

So who should he believe? Who should he listen to, especially after his parents’ divorce?

Fathi will discover that the answer isn’t outside him, but within himself. In his heart, a unique rainbow unites all the colors, letting him set himself free and discover who he is.

A short, profound text, beautifully illustrated in India ink by Sophie Charpin, that sensitively explores difference, self-acceptance and how others see us.
